About the Artist

Stephany Placencio is a Dominican visual artist and architect currently based in North Carolina, United States. Her practice focuses on painting and mixed media and is rooted in a phase of ongoing exploration, where she investigates different themes, emotions, and visual narratives.

In 2025, she presented her first solo exhibition in the United States, marking an important milestone in her artistic trajectory and her integration into the U.S. art scene. She has participated in group exhibitions and art competitions, receiving recent recognitions, including an Honorable Mention in an international art competition in Rome.

She is currently developing her second body of original work, created for her upcoming second solo exhibition, reflecting the evolution of her visual language and artistic research. Alongside her studio practice, she shares educational content about art and the creative process through her social media platforms, fostering dialogue and community. Her work seeks to create an emotional connection with the viewer while continuing to expand her presence within the contemporary art landscape in the United States.
